Aerospace Trigger & Decode

The R&S®RTO and R&S®RTP oscilloscopes supports triggering and decoding of MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, SpaceWire signals. You can set up decoding in seconds. For detailed analysis, results can be viewed as color-coded protocol frames and/or in table format. Errors are identified reliably and efficently using the hardware-accelerated trigger. You can trigger on protocol detail such as frame start, frame content and errors.

Fast bus setup

The configuration for any given protocol is accomplished in just a few steps starting from the app cockpit. Once the bus to decode has been chosen, the connected channels have been selected and the correct levels have been set, decoding begins automatically.

Color-coded protocol display

You can analyze the decoded bus frames with a color-coded data overlay over the bus signal. Address and data content can be displayed in hex, bin or ASCII format. You always have the best overview with the flexible screen setup. Additionally, the protocols can be displayed in a concise table.

Reliable isolation of protocol events and errors is possible with the protocol-specific trigger. R&S oscilloscopes are ideal for finding errors quickly because of high acquisition rates, allowing decoding of protocol-specific trigger results. The hardware-based triggering is available on specific protocol content, e.g. addresses or data, as well as on protocol errors.

Powerful search and navigate capability

Comprehensive search functions simplify the analysis of long signal sequences. You can search for waveforms based on different criteria, such as signal faults or protocol content. All detected events are shown in a table with timestamps. The individual events can be examined in a zoom window with a simple navigation between events.
